Visit to Kilkeel Harbour
P2 had a fantastic day at Kilkeel Harbour.
We visited Lisa from Fishbox who showed us a lobster, a monkfish and a haddock. We learned lots of new information about these sea creatures.
We then went to the Lifeboat Station. We learned about how to be safe when near water and we were shown how to perform CPR. We especially enjoyed sitting in the lifeboat and trying on some of the gear.
After that we went to the Nautilus Centre where Sophie showed us a lobster, a lobster creel, a crab’s claw and we met the two resident turtles. We really enjoyed playing the game where we had to steer the boat into Kilkeel harbour and we had fun completing the quiz.
It was a very enjoyable day and thank you to all involved.
Also a huge thank you to parents for your kind donations, we were delighted to present our donation to the RNLI today.
